What is The Difference?
The research team at The Difference is part of an international community that measures charity effectiveness. Based on available evidence, we credential and rate charities to help donors and other stakeholders be more informed about the landscape of Australia’s not for profit sector.
We also produce an annual report card on the indicators of Australia's social health. This is an introduction to Australians who live within those indicators and an invitation to engage with your community.
The first edition of the magazine was launched by Australian of the Year, Simon McKeon, on March 22, 2011.
The next edition of The Difference Magazine will be launched by Chief Justice Diana Bryant in late 2014.
Given you can't fix a problem you can't see, The Difference is an awareness raising vehicle on the progress of Australia's social health. For the charities that meet the qualifying process, it is an opportunity to profile their best prevention focussed ideas.
The Difference is published by Chapter Seven Limited.
